Restaurant owner Art Thomas, who owns The Corner View Restaurant, was recently interviewed by New Hampshire Public Radio about the shop’s history in presidential elections. He said because the Corner View brings in a wide range of people, it is a good spot for candidates to reach all types of voters.
“This local restaurant in McKee Square, which has been serving breakfast, lunch and dinner since 1996, has had its fair share of candidates over the past few decades: Al Gore, John Edwards and former President George Bush. This year, Chris Christie, Bernie Sanders, Ben Carson and Rand Paul have made visits,” New Hampshire Public Radio said in a post on Aug. 13.
“The one guy I haven’t seen yet is Donald Trump, and I’m not so sure I will,” Thomas told NHPR. “I think his jet wouldn’t land in Concord.”
